New York City is one of the most dynamic cities in the world, and at the heart of its action in Manhattan is Times Square, an area known for its shopping, dining and theaters. Parking is at a premium near this tourist hot spot, and some hotels here do have parking on-site or arrangements with nearby garages, though visitors should know that they are going to pay substantially for arriving by car.

South of Times Square

The Courtyard by Marriott New York Times Square South ( is just a few blocks south of the square in the fashion district, and at the time of publication valet parking costs $52. Rooms were renovated in 2010 and offer plush towels, free wireless high-speed Internet access and mini refrigerators. North of Times Square

The hotel has a theater concierge, offering tips and recommendations on Broadway shows and assisting in procuring tickets. One dog per room up to 20 lbs. is allowed, with a deposit of $100 required, $75 of which is refundable if no damages occur. The hotel has an on-site restaurant and a lounge. The Millennium Broadway Hotel New York - Times Square NYC ( is just off Broadway near the Helen Hayes Theater and has valet parking for $50 per day. Rooms here offer marble bathrooms, floor-to-ceiling windows and pillow-top mattresses. The hotel features a 24-hour fitness center and 110,000 square feet of meeting space.

East of Times Square

The Casablanca Hotel ( is just east of Times Square and is a boutique hotel with decorations inspired by the film of the same name. At the time of publication, the hotel has an arrangement for parking at $35 a day at a neighboring garage. Rooms have 100 percent Egyptian cotton linens, bathrobes, slippers and iPod docking stations. The hotel features a wine-and-cheese reception each evening and a DVD library of films featuring New York City. The Mansfield Hotel ( is two blocks east of the square and has an on-site garage and has a package stay that gives guests free valet parking. Rooms offer 24-hour room service, flat-panel TVs and luxury bath products. The hotel features free shoeshines, free 24-hour espresso service and a free business center.

West of Times Square

Candlewood Suites Hotel at Times Square ( offers valet parking for $55 per day at the time of publication and is within walking distance of the convention center. The hotel has on-site laundry, on-site rental car desks, a 24-hour fitness center and a convenience store. Rooms here offer full kitchens, work desks and high-speed Internet access. The Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott New York Manhattan/Times Square ( is two blocks west of the square and has a relationship with a nearby garage for daily parking for $24. The hotel features free breakfast with Starbucks coffee, limousine service, valet dry cleaning and is 100 percent nonsmoking. Rooms here offer 32-inch HDTVs and free high-speed Internet access.
