Preview: Remember the film "When Harry met Sally" with Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan? After years of friendship, Harry and Sally finally figure out on New Year’s Eve that they love each other. Harry runs all the way from the Washington Square Arch to the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel (about 2 miles, actually) to inform Sally of his revelation. The last place I would recommend being at midnight on New Year’s Eve is Times Square in Manhattan. Peopled with pickpockets, crazies, and well-intentioned drunks, it is anything but romantic. But that’s my personal opinion. For me, a romantic New Year’s Eve is spent in my own house, sharing a warm, home-cooked dinner and a bottle of champagne with the man I love. However, if you simply must do New Year’s Eve on the town New York style, then by all means go, and enjoy it.
