Niagara Falls Area Getaway - Niagara Falls NY Weekend Getaway

Preview: Awe and wonder have always attended human perception of the unimaginable power of the falls and the turbulence of the river below. In 1678 a Franciscan missionary, Father Louis Hennepin, was the first white man to see Niagara Falls. The view of this gigantic, roaring waterfall brought him to his knees. Earlier the falls had figured in Indian legends. This chapter has everything you need to plan a travel experience in the Niagara Falls area and includes details on Niagara Falls, Niagara Falls (Ontario, Canada), Niagara-on-the-Lake (Ontario), Welland Canal (Ontario), Youngstown, and Lewiston.

Review: The greatest. A Gray Line Tour is worth the investment. Don't pass up the American side just because a lot of people say you can see better from the Canadian. Do both sides and most important of all, do Goat Island which is in the midst of them all and the staging area for getting intimate with the falls.
