Put-in-Bay is great for a day trip with the family. Take the walk-on ferry across the lake. The salt-water taffy is a yummy treat, or you can find many local restaurants and icecream shops. There's an underground tour of the caves that's not to be missed.
In Sandusky, visit Cedar Point for the big rollercoasters and Soak City for the water rides on a hot day.
Visit the nearby Geauga Lake for a family-friendly, less intense rollercoaster experience.
