Preview: A 130-mile highway over a mountain pass in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. Feather River Scenic Byway offers astounding vistas and scenic diversity. The route begins almost at sea level in the Sacramento Valley on the west and climbs through a remarkable canyon, timbered hills, and a broad valley before topping Beckwourth Pass at 5,228 feet and descending to the arid Long Valley and Sierra Valley.
