Bainbridge Ferry to Winslow - Seattle WA Walking Tour

Preview: The destination on this 35-minute cruise is the tourist-friendly community of Winslow. At least it used to be known by that name. In an effort to better manage growth in the area, all of Bainbridge Island was incorporated as a “city” in 1991. The island now has some 20,000 residents, and a fourth of them reside in what was formerly the city of Winslow. Special attractions: Ferryboats, island community, waterfront park, several restaurants.

Review: Really a neat trip! Ferry ride fun, a little windy on the deck, but fantastic views of the shoreline and Seattle waterfront. Road this ferry in the summer 2 years ago, a young orca whale followed alongside the boat for 1/2 the trip. Downtown Winslow is cute. Within walking distance of the ferry terminal, several quaint cafes and many arts shops, antiques, boutiques etc. Really fun. Definitely something Mom and Grandma would enjoy.
