Lake Russell is my kind of watery getaway. With 100 acres of water surface and a “no-gas motors” policy, quiet is an integral component of the experience. With only 42 campsites spread over this long and narrow lake, the campground is never overcrowded. Hiking trails, great for walkers of all ages and abilities, emanate directly from the recreation area. Finally, not only does Lake Russell have a picturesque swimming beach
and good fishing but a smaller impoundment, Nancytown Lake, adds another watery element and angling destination to round out the Lake Russell experience.
